The Berkeley Police Department is investigating the murder of Demetrius “Meachie” Carbon that occurred on June 18, 2021 at 12:22 AM.
Demetrius was driving a small black four-door Nissan Sentra when he was chased by a newer model pickup truck with four doors on to the 6000 block of Nevis Court in Berkeley. Four gunmen exited the truck and opened fire on the car Demetrius was driving, and Demetrius was struck one time and died from his wounds.
Demetrius Carbon lived in Florissant and was a 2019 graduate of McCluer High School and an amateur boxer. He trained at the Gary Gore Elementary School new New Halls Ferry and St. Cyr.
