On July 30, 2014 police responded to a call for a shooting and a traffic accident at the intersection of Short Ave and Washington Ave. in Berkeley, MO. Upon arrival the victims, #1 being a black male, 23 years of age and victim #2 being a black female, 26 years of age, were discovered in a motor vehicle. The male victim was unresponsive the female victim was suffering from a gunshot wound. Both victims were transported to local hospitals. Victim Mahopela Allen was pronounced dead at the hospital.
