On July 3, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m., victim Damion C. Baker and an acquaintance were fired upon while standing near their vehicles talking on the public parking lot located on the southwest corner of 7th and Cerre. Victim Baker was mortally wounded and succumbed to his injuries. Due to the time and location, it is believed that there are likely numerous witnesses who could provide information as to the incident and any potential suspect(s) and/or suspect vehicle(s) fleeing the public parking lot.
