On March 19, 2016, at approximately 2:00 pm, Jordan Taynor was at the Central West End platform where he became involved in an argument with an unknown black male suspect. According to witness accounts Taynor was punched in the face by a black male, which caused him to fall to the ground and strike his head on the platform.
After the attack, the victim went to the hospital where he later died of the injuries sustained in the assault.
The black male is described as having a light complexion, medium length dreadlocks, between 5’08” and 5’10” inches tall, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head, a white t-shirt hanging from underneath the sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and dark colored shoes. According to one of the witnesses the black male suspect had a “birth mark,” or some type of tattoo on his face near or underneath one of his eyes. The described black male subject was last seen walking eastbound toward the bus depot.
