Major Case Activation in Berkeley

At approximately 11:00 pm last night, July 7, 2024, the Berkeley Police Department responded to the 6100 block of Jefferson Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim inside a vehicle who had suffered one gunshot wound. The victim is a 45-year-old male.

The victim was transported to a local hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim has died.

 

Jeffrey Garrett

Springfield Police need the public's assistance to locate Jeffrey Garrett

The Springfield Homicide Unit identified Jeffrey Garrett 36 from St. Louis, Mo as the suspect in the July 5th 2024 homicide of Jack Osborn and 44 year old Melissa Smith. On July 9, 2024 the case was presented to the Greene County prosecutor's Office. Garrett was charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder and two counts of Armed Criminal Action with no bond. 

Garrett is not currently in custody. 

Michael J. Davis Jr

The Illinois State Police are attempting to identify and locate a red Dodge Journey and a black male subject pictured in a blue hooded jacket reference this investigation. 

Robbery 1st 4800 Washington 5-15-2024

Robbery 1st Degree 1800block of Washington Ave

4th District detectives need assistance identifying/locating the suspects in the attached photos. They are wanted for the below incident. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, dark complexion, slim build, and was wearing a red skull cap, a white track jacket, tan pants, and black boots.  Suspect #2 is described as an older black male, medium complexion and build, grey beard, and was wearing a black t-shirt, black baseball cap, light colored blue jeans and black shoes. 

Terrence Trotter

On May 1, 2024 officers responded to a call for a “Shooting” on Barnett and N. Grand, upon arrival they located the victim, later identified as Terrence Trotter, in an alley suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Florissant PD needs the public's assistance to help identify and locate the subject involved in an incident on December 12, 2023 at the Delrado Apartments

On December 12, 2023, the Florissant Police responded to the Delrado Apartments, located on N. Hwy 67, for reports of a Rape in the 1st Degree. Our investigation determined that an unknown male subject had been observed in the apartment building as early as 5:30p.m. This subject was described as a medium to dark complected black male, approximately 6’ tall, with a medium build. He had clear skin, a wide bridged nose, well-groomed eyebrows, with good hygiene. This subject was wearing a black, thin, puffy coat with a grey zip up jacket, and a blueish grey undershirt underneath. This subject had on clean black sweat pants and black, canvas/textured style work boots. He was wearing thicker black gloves and a dark grey ski mask. At approximately 6:40p.m., The 19-year-old, female victim was returning to her apartment from the complex’s laundry room. Upon reaching her apartment door, the male subject grabbed her from behind and forced her into her apartment. This subject proceeded to rape the victim before fleeing the area.
