Cedric Owens

On September 20, 21 at 8:42PM, officers received a call for a “Shooting” in the 500 Block of 20th St. They located multiple victims in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS transported all of the victims to area hospitals where Victim #1 was pronounced deceased. Victim #2 and #3 were listed in critical/unstable condition, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. Victim #4 was listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his leg. Detectives need assistance identifying/locating the occupants of the vehicles in the attached photos/videos relative to this incident.

Isis Mahr

Officers responded to a call for a “Shooting” in the 8600 block of Goodfellow and located all four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS responded and pronounced victim #1, Isis Mahr, deceased at the scene. Victims #2, #3, and #4 were transported to the hospital.

SLMPD Homicide Detectives need help identifying these two subject's.

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male and female subject relative to the murder of Demetrise Thomas, which occurred just before 1:00 a.m. on 9/20/21 in the 500 block of N. 20th (see summary below). Subject #1 is seen on surveillance video firing shots during the incident. At this time, we do not believe there are any concrete connections to murder of Cedric Owens later that day near the same location.

Subject #1:

·         Black Male, late teens to early twenties, small frame, thin build, light to medium complexion, low afro-natural hairstyle

·         Plain white t-shirt, uniquely colored shorts- right leg light blue, left leg yellow, white low top athletic shoes, possibly grey or brown backpack

·         Armed with a dark-framed pistol

 

Subject #2:

·         Black female, late teens to early twenties, small frame, heavy build, light to medium complexion, shoulder length straight hairstyle

·         Light-green hooded sweatshirt, with matching pants, black slip-on shoes (possibly Crock-style clogs) black crossbody purse/satchel

·         Face partially concealed with light-blue medical mask 

 

Calyia Stringer

On Sunday, September 5, 2021, at approximately 9:28 P.M., the East St. Louis Police Department responded to the Roosevelt Homes located at 1328 N. 44th Street, East St. Louis, IL for a gunshot victim.  Upon arrival, officers located the gunshot victim who was identified as 3 year-old  Calyia E. Stringer. Stringer was transported to a St. Louis area hospital where she succumbed  to her injury on September 7, 2021.    Preliminary investigation indicates occupant(s) of a dark colored sedan began shooting at a crowd of people standing outside Building 47 in the Roosevelt Homes.  At least one individual returned fire from the group of people.  During the exchange of gunfire, a bullet entered Building 47 and struck Stringer. Following the shooting, the suspect(s) fled the area.

On July 25, 2021, officers responded to a call for a “Shooting” and upon arrival, they were advised that victim #1 was being transported to the hospital by EMS suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. The victims stated they were riding their bikes at the above location when they noticed the suspects were circling them in a white four-door vehicle. The victims stated the vehicle eventually stopped, and a passenger exited the vehicle and then fired shots at the victims. Victim #1 was listed in stable condition. Victim #2 was not injured.

McDonald's Robbery 1119 N. Tucker on July 9, 2021& 4006 Lindell on July 8, 2021

On July 8, 2021 officers responded to a call for a “Hold Up” at 4006 Lindell, after the suspect entered the business through the pay window while posing as a customer. The suspect was armed with a handgun and ordered an employee to open a safe, to which she complied. The suspect took money and then fled the scene in a silver SUV.

 

Then again on July 9, 2021 officers responded to a call for a “Hold Up – In Progress” at 1119 N. Tucker after the suspect entered the business through the drive thru window, displayed a firearm, and then demanded the employees open the business safe. The suspect was unsuccessful with taking anything and exited through the same window. The suspect fled the scene in a silver SUV.
